We have been asked more and more about facing up to the inner critic. Teams and individuals are seeing a raise in self sabotage and are finding the inner critic to be an unwelcome work colleague.
That voice that stands in the way of you trying new approaches, speaking up, taking opportunities is another hang over from our Survivor Brain. The member of our tribe who let the bear into the camp had to tell themselves that they are rubbish at keeping watch. The experience of being responsible for the tribe becoming bear snacks is etched onto the brain and reinforced by ‘I always let people down’. That inner voice is an important reminder to ensure that someone else is chosen to keep watch next time.
Great for choosing bear watch duties, not so great at preparing for an important meeting.
We constantly feed, reinforce and reward our inner critic. You have trained it to be a strong loud voice. We will help you reframe your thinking and approaches to ensure that you feel supported and empowered by your self.
